And how to just get on with it already

The business world is full of acronyms. Too many to keep up with if you ask me. One that I do like is MVP, which stands for the Most Viable Product. This is the most basic and launchable version of a product in order to gain feedback from early adopters to get it ready for market. It's not trying to be perfect and ready for the world-at-large. It's just good enough to share with a select few in order to gain insight into how the product could potentially perform.
Can we keep that same energy when it comes to our writing? When we sit pen to paper or fingers to keyboard with the intention of writing the next great American novel, we can psyche ourselves out. We end up with aborted projects and dusty first draft manuscripts that yellow in the manila folders of our minds or on some easily losable thumb drive.
This isn't amount churning out trash. We should always write in our best, authentic voice and edit with a keen eye. But we also don't want year after year to pass without producing anything and growing as a writer.
So let's stop with the procrastinating and the stalling tactics and the rabbit holes that are Reddit and Wikipedia and get to writing right now!
